Emmaus Regenboog in Wageningen

The best and cheapest second-hand shop in town is open for 6 hours only: Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Here one can find all kinds of goods which have been collected, sorted out, repaired and eventually displayed to be sold in the shop at Herenstraat 9. What kind of articles you will find is fairly unpredictable, but there is a basic structure of 5 departments: downstairs you will find furniture, books/records and electrical appliances; upstairs small household goods/toys and the clothes shop. 

When you buy large items, they can be delivered by us in Wageningen at the cost of € 5 only. You may also use our transport-bike, which is free of charge, to carry things home. Otherwise, goods you’ve bought can be collected from Tuesday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. 

For over 25 years Emmaus has had a community in Wageningen. The Wageningen Emmaus community consists of approximately 15 people. Depending on the day you visit us, you will find different people behind the door. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and sometimes Fridays, we collect goods with our van. Every Friday morning we have a team meeting co-workers can attend if they want to. We are closed Sundays and Mondays. On all other days of the week we sort out goods, as well as repair them if necessary, and put them in the shop before the opening hours on Wednesday and Saturday.
